Competition is not about "beating out others" but improving yourselves, appreciating what you have learned and acknowledging others accomplishments, everything else is icing on the cake!

I just wanted to let you know that I truly enjoyed nationals this year...all of my parents have said that they loved the schedule. They felt it was enjoyable, less crowded, and less hectic. We thought the judging at regional and nationals was extremely consistent and fair. We have received great feedback ad comments from your judges that have given us a clear picture of our weaknesses and goals. We love your three levels. We can't compete at a truly "competitive" category, but we really want our girls to have to push themselves to show up. The intermediate level allows us to do that.

We love your staff. (Especially Rachel!) Everyone from the people working the sound , to the ladies working out front were extremely helpful and friendly. Even when Rachel was busy and running crazy, she always stopped and smiled and answered my questions.

We love the Walker Center-like the stage, like the wings, like the seating, like the parking, like the ability to go outside (off stage left) and talk to the dancers or just take pictures.

All the studios and dancers were so friendly. It was so refreshing to go to a competition where everyone was on equal ground and there was not favoritism.

All of my girls and guys in the Mister & Miss Dance Competition had a wonderful time. They loved the class and have been performing the combinations over and over again. The program really helped all of them to see beyond the right now and work to be better dancers and better people. The multiple categories makes the program impressive and makes the participants strive to accomplish more in themselves.

Dance Machine Productions was established in 1999. It began as Footsteps Dance Competition and held one small competition a year until 2001 when it began holding regional competitions across the Carolinas. In 2002 Footsteps Dance Competition became Dance Machine Productions holding regional competitions and workshops across the southeast and held it's first National Championships in conjunction with Ultimate Dance Productions. In 2009 we celebrate our 9th season where there are "No Limits" to the power of hard work and dedication to accomplish your goals and Dance Machine's commitment to bringing you the best possible competition and convention experience for each dancer, parent, and teacher. Dance Machine Productions Competitions & Workshops are by invitation only. All studios, schools, and organizations invited must give quality dance instruction, have high moral standards, be and remain in good standing in their communities. Dance Machine Competitions are designed to be a positive learning experience and opportunity for everyone to be recognized for their accomplishments. A competition where everyone is treated equal.

We do limit competition size. Three & now even four day regional competitions are hard on dancers, teachers, and parents. At Dance Machine all of our regional competitions are kept to two days. We want every aspect of your competition experience with Dance Machine to be positive and pleasant.

We offer over 25 competition categories, multiple age levels, and three competition levels, with a scoring system that factors in age differences, levels, and is based on a sliding scale that adjusts to the particular competition for determining ratings.

What makes Dance Machine different? 1. We are nice to everyone and handle each situation as fair as possible. 2. We are organized and stay on or ahead of schedule at every regional competition 3. We have "The Dream Team", where dancers from Top Scoring Group Routines are given the opportunity to perform the Opening Number of our Grand National Championships "Showdown of the Stars" 4. We have one of America's largest and most respected dance title competitions, where well rounded dancers are given the opportunity to grow as a person and a dancer 5. We are honest and fair...we do not show favoritism to a studio just because they bring the most routines or have the biggest check. Everyone is on equal ground!
